The financial ledgers are updated on a monthly basis. We can post updates for the Recreation ledger on a weekly

I took notice about a month ago that the Wildwood by the River shareholders information site had created links to
the office ledger and the recreation ledger. At the time, I thought it was a wonderful idea for those of us who care
about what money we are bringing into the park and what money we are spending. These ledgers have been an
eye opener and have raised questions. But now, it is August 12, and there has been no data input since July 29?
Also, it was brought to the boards attention before the second last band played here, that the recreation fund had
no money to pay for them. But they came and we paid. Where was the money taken from and how much was the
total cost for having these last two bands?
Thank you

I would like to start out by thanking the board as a whole for putting forth their time and
energy to insure the future of our park. Special thanks goes out to the building committee
for doing such a great job to insure our building cods were followed this past year. It was
refreshing there were no major issues to report at the May Shareholders meeting.
A job well done and thanks.
.
Personally, I find it pleasant to have visited the Rec Hall the last few weeks without hearing
all the negative comments and the false statements coming from the usual crowd who
spend a lot of their time there. Many shareholders have listened and have been subjected
to their sarcastic remarks. This group are the ones making false statements either at our garbage dump, at the
rec hall and around our park. They offer no proof or justification for their statements and accusations
.
The shareholders in this park should take the time and exercise their responsibility by learning facts before
judging other shareholders. The negative and misleading information that this chosen few are spreading is what
is dividing this park, not the people trying to follow and enforce the rules that we as shareholders have made for
all to follow. I believe we can regain our “Park Proud” status once again and feel confident we are on the right
track.

I would like to know how many people in this park actually care about the welfare of our park? I know there are some that would do anything they could, but I also know that we are becoming out numbered by the people who only think of themselves . This has just been proven by recent findings of beer and wine being sold at the rec-hall. We all knew that we are not licenced for the sale of liquor without a licence. Our treasurer also knew this and so did all the past board members. Yet they didn't care that this action jeopardized our insurance to the point that if ANY alcohol
related incident of any kind had of occurred, we would not be insured!!! We could have been sued to the point of bankruptcy and fined up to $500,000.00..We would have had to pay for this ourselves. I DON"T THINK SO !!! I am not losing anything for these people any more. Shame on the people that have allowed this and not said anything, and shame on any Board member for taking part in these actions. It's time to clean house and protect our investments, our vacation homes and OUR PARK. Do the right thing !
I'm voting the present treasurer off the board on August 4th 2013.

Read the recreation info on the website. My comment is where is the rest of the info. I see cheques to Ed which I assume are for floats and expenses for events, but there is no record of monies from these events shown. I also see in the last three years the balance in the recreation account has gone down $5,000. My understanding is that the recreation should support itself as in breaking even but not a profit or loss. This account should have been monitored to show what is losing money or making money. No mention of Vegas night which has the most cash coming and going and I had heard it was a great fundraiser. I hope our treasurer can supply the records for the recreation committee that he has been overseeing for the last three years

I would like very much to protect our children in the park. Having just lost my sister I am especially sensitive to
the issue of anyone being hurt or possibly killed due to simple negligence of things that we take for granted.
Our park has set rules to follow and yet sometime being just ourselves we are lax to realize that the things that
seem fun can actually change our lives forever. Please make sure that you are aware of your children and honor
the park rules for your and their safety,
Recently my husband and I were driving through the parking lot and a small child came out in front of our
vehicle on a bicycle as she came down the sidewalk that leads up to the club house. This could have had a
tragic outcome had it not been for us both being aware of our surroundings. Last weekend there were two
very young boys riding an ATV in the parking lot---probably about 8 and 4 years old. While I am pleased
that they were having fun they did not have on helmets, were not old enough to be riding a vehicle and could not
possibly know that a vehicle could have backed up into them from a parking spot. PLEASE consider this
message as concern for your beautiful children.
Thank-you for listening and please have a great and safe summer.

In
response to Ted's post on Feb 24, last paragraph. I too agree, if the
kids in the park are going to take part in karaoke, maybe Saturday
afternoons during hot dog lunches would be better suited. Make Saturday
afternoons Kids Karaoke time. It would be fun, with some planning and
organizing we could have our own Wildwood Idol?
I
would also like to mention, you can buy a karaoke machine at Walmart
for 80 bucks. Why spend, what...... two thousand?, on a machine that is
going to be handled by many.

Donna, If I have offended anyone I apologize for the 'wet blanket' I appeared to throw over the karaoke machine and the entertainment people get from laughing at those that really can't sing. Perhaps 'Catterwalling' and 'Wannabees' is a bit strong but consider it a slip-up , (hitting the 'submit' button too quickly) out of frustration.
Please don't lose focus on the point I was making about we have a group of fun song circle musicians , all ages, that jam 1st and 3rd Saturday at my studio in Mitchell, who for mere expense money would come to our Friday poolside jams.
Do you remember 2010 & 11 ?
My request was for 20 bucks or so for a few musicians each week to provide the 'house band' backup for those that liked to get up and sing. I was told a hot dog and pop only ! ( 3 [email protected] weeks=600.00 ) Yet the money spent on the karaoke machine and the bar bands on the tennis court to entertain 50 or 60 people adds up to over 5000.00 ! Any reason we can't do both
Where is the logic or reasoning ?
By the way...Letting kids sing karaoke at Friday poolside with the adult drinking and ;language, doesn't "satisfy my desire for a family park" . The sign at the gate. tells everyone entering that Wildwood already is a family park.I agree that the karaoke machine will be great fun for the kids in their own time and space, with all the modern tracks available.

Wow ......what a horrible thing to say! We have some very entertaining people
singing on buck nights. I also enjoy the bands. Nothing wrong with
harmonizing the two ideas when nothing else is going on. Some of the
children even get up and sing which should satisfy your family park
idea. Lighten up!

Reading that the park spent 2 grand on a karaoke machine when our Recreational Director clearly stated he wouldn't put out 20 - 40 bucks gas money for me to bring good musicians in FREE really confirms my decision to let the non musicians run the music programs in the park as they see fit, and withdraw all previous offers to help bring music more appropriate for all ages to the shareholders. As long as you're hiring bar bands you will have bar band music !
Karaoke machines from day one have put musicians out of work right across the country as bar owners and other functions, opted for the savings of not having to pay bands (live musicians with families to feed) and instead entertaining their crowd with the catterwalling of the wannabees with karaoke machines.
I have heard and watched some of the howlers at the park, with past karaoke performances and must say the people certainly found them entertaining in a perverse way ,much like laughing at a handicapped person. I find that totally demeaning !

It has been brought to my attention that things are being left in the washrooms intentionally to see if the
washrooms have been cleaned. I might suggest that if people have time to place things on the floors, under the
floor matts, behind the toilets, then that person has time to pick up after themselves and is wasting precious time
You have to understand that having the washrooms open during the winter is a privilege not a mandatory
benefit. If you would clean the hair out of your drain at home then share the same courtesy here at our park.
This is not a personal cleaning service to accompany your needs. The washrooms are cleaned once a week, so if you
shower more than once a week whatever you leave there will remain there until the next cleaning'
.
I must also reiterate, that if you hand in a Concern Form or put in a complaint with no lot number and name, it will not be
entertained or given any further consideration to act upon.. Thank you!

I pay my maintenance fees with the knowledge that I can access my lot 365 days a year. Anyone planning on closing the park for 3 months had better be ready for a FIGHT. How are you going to stop us from being on our own property? Just another excuse for someone to complain about people being there in the winter months.
If YOU don't want to be there in winter don't go but please.......give the rest of us a break.

If I decide it is ok for my14 year old son stay at the hall and play guitar with his uncle after 11:00 I don't see the problem. How is that possibly hurting anyone? Frankly the youth who will cause trouble will not be deterred because shucks we were going to cause trouble but its after 11. How about giving the kids something to do instead of giving them a hassle. I can't count the number of times I see youth who appear to be under age drinking before 11 and no one worries about that.
